1,920 hours of clinical experience with up to 25% of training in surgical specialty such as Orthopedics, Plastics, Cardiac, Vascular, and Neurological (Trauma SA - 754 - 2 credit hours)

Lecture/discussion seminars directed by the SA Program Medical Director about current surgery techniques.

As part of the journal club, students in clinical will prepare and submit case reports on cases that they performed during clinical training.

Independent study student project course. Students develop educational resources products for the contribution the Surgical Assistant program’s student resource library.
