The Academic Support Services are structured for all students through coordinated efforts with the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Education, the Office of Minority Affairs, the Student Progress Committee, and departmental course directors.

Ongoing counseling, advising, and supplementary  peer instruction are available to all enrolled students. Incoming students are paired with upper-class students to assist them with their transition to medical school.

The Office of Minority Affairs also works closely with the Office of Financial Aid in disseminating information to students concerning various scholarship opportunities.
