Each year the Glennan Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology recommends and sponsors a rising third or fourth year medical student to the Summer Institute in Geriatrics at Boston University Medical Center. The Summer Institute is a week–long conference designed for medical students who are interested in pursuing careers in academic geriatric medicine and geriatric research. Activities of the Summer Institute include lectures, seminars, and case discussions as well as site visits to research and clinical programs. Faculty members include nationally recognized academic geriatricians and other individuals pursuing research in geriatrics and gerontology.
A total of 20 students from across the country are selected to participate in this program. Applications are available in February and due by mid April. For more information, please contact:
