Application Process

The EVMS Psychiatry Residency Program participates in the online ERAS application service. Applications are taken through the AAMC's Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).  The program participates in the National Residency Matching Program. Please be sure to fill out the application form completely - read all information available on the ERAS web site before submitting your application. Omissions may cause a delay in processing your application.

If you are an international medical graduate, you must:

• Be a permanent resident or a U.S. citizen
• Have passed USMLE parts I and II, and the CSA
• Be fluent in English
• Be a graduate of a recognized foreign medical school
• Have at least two to six months of clinical experience in the U.S.
• Have ECFMG certification

Interviews are scheduled from the last week of October through mid-December.
