Eye Care in Underserved Areas and Developing Countries

EVMS ophthalmologists, faculty, residents, and medical students have regularly rendered humanitarian care, free of charge, to patients in Egypt, Honduras, and Venezuela, as well as to migrant workers in Virginia.

Lions Sight and Hearing Center

Faculty and residents also provide care to patients, many of them indigent, at the Lions Sight and Hearing Center located on the campus in the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
