Second-Year Residency Residents rotate through outpatient general obstetrics and gynecology clinics and continue their second year of participation in Continuity Care Clinics where they perform well women examinations and manage common gynecologic and non-gynecologic complaints. Third-Year Residency Primary care experience is limited to the Continuity Care Clinics. The third year resident continues to manage the panel of patients they followed during their first and second year. Fourth-Year Residency Fourth-year residents assume leadership roles in Continuity Care Clinics while under the direct supervision of faculty attendings. At this point, chief residents assume greater responsibility in caring for patients and in teaching junior residents and medical students. They help coordinate Continuity Care Clinics, thus creating a continuum of continuity care training in the chief year. |
