I invite you to review our fully accredited four-year academic program that offers the advantages of a community-based atmosphere in a nurturing environment. We prepare our graduates for clinical practice in the private and academic sectors, with 25 percent of our residents pursuing fellowships and 75 percent choosing private practice options upon graduation. Annually we accept four PGY-1 obstetrics and gynecology residents and one reproductive endocrinology fellow. We offer high quality postgraduate resident training in general obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology, maternal-fetal medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, gynecologic oncology and urogynecology. Residents also receive training in surgical pathology, genetics and genetic counseling, diagnostic ultrasonography and pediatric gynecology. Successful completion of the program leads to eligibility for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. With the assistance of faculty consultants, residents provide primary care in a variety of clinics, including the teen obstetrics clinic. All aspects of family planning, sexuality counseling, sexual assault and abuse, and obstetric critical care are integrated into the program. An important component of our residency that has a strong academic focus is our conferences, seminars, lectures, and workshops, which are offered during regular protected educational time. Guest speakers and faculty provide weekly grand rounds, a didactic forum, fetal monitoring rounds, high-risk conferences, reproductive and infertility journal club, pathology conferences, hands-on ultrasound conferences, pre-operative conferences, and monthly journal club, which relate theory and practice. We are proud of our program; we welcome your interest and look forward to hearing from you.
