The program is a fully accredited PGY-I through PGY-III program; we have had continuous full accreditation by the Residency Review Committee (RRC) since 1981. At our most recent RRC review (September 2005) we received eight years of Continued Accreditation - the maximum allowable.

Frank Counselman, M.D., FACEP (left), Director of the EVMS Emergency Medicine Residency Program, won the Residency Director of the Year award in 2003 from the Emergency Medicine Residents' Association.
