Thomas R. Lee Center for Ocular Pharmacology Print E-mail
The Thomas R. Lee Center for Ocular Pharmacology was established in December 1998 to develop treatments for chronic and blinding diseases of the eye, and will devote much of its energy to glaucoma.

Chartered by the Board of Visitors of the Medical College of Hampton Roads, this Center is a multi-disciplinary coalition of clinicians and basic science researchers who have collaborated successfully for several years. Particular expertise in the integration of cutting edge biotechnology, as well as the reformulation of systemic medications for ophthalmic use, has earned the Center an international reputation.

The Center has collaborated with numerous major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration. The Center also works closely with the Lions Medical Eye Bank and Research Center, located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
