Center for the Comprehensive Care of Immune Deficiency (C3ID)
  • C3ID provides comprehensive, individualized, state-of-the-art care to adults infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) throughout the Hampton Roads area.
Clinical Research Unit of the Department of Pediatrics
  • The Department of Pediatrics performs research throughout the Department in many clinics, as well as in the Pediatric Research facility at E.V. Williams Hall. Our research  activities focus on basic and clinical care research in pediatric immunology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, pharmacology genetics, and neonatology, including a long-term, international study of the properties of human milk.

CONRAD (Contraceptive Research & Development)

  • CONRAD seeks to develop better, safer, and more acceptable methods of fertility regulation, with an emphasis on suitability for use in developing countries. Priority is given to moving promising leads through Phase I and II clinical trials.

Glennan Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology

  • A comprehensive program designed to promote wellness and prevent premature frailty in the elderly through a focused effort to train physicians in the special needs of the elderly, a concentrated research program, and an emphasis on geriatrics in patient care.

Hearing and Balance Center

  • The Hearing and Balance Center at DePaul provides the most comprehensive therapeutic and rehabilitation services available in the region for the diseases of the hearing system, balancing system, and skull base.

Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine at EVMS

Home of the nation's first in-vitro fertilization clinic and today's foremost reproductive medicine program, offering nearly every form of infertility treatment available for men and women and conducting research in menopause, infertility, contraception, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, and more.

Thomas R. Lee Center for Ocular Pharmacology

  • The mission of the Thomas R. Lee Center for Ocular Pharmacology is to develop treatments for chronic and blinding diseases of the eye, particularly glaucoma.

Sleep Disorders Center

With Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the SDC provides the full range of diagnostic and treatment services for sleep disorders and conducts research on normal and problem sleepers.

Strelitz Diabetes Center at EVMS

  • A comprehensive program providing education, in-patient and outpatient care, and research focused on minimizing complications of diabetes and finding a cure based on stimulating the growth of new islet cells.

Theresa A. Thomas Professional Skills Teaching & Assessment Center

  • The mission of the Center is to teach and assess clinical competencies for techniques in the areas of medical interviewing, clinical reasoning, ethical dilemmas, communication skills, and physical examination.
The Voice Center at EVMS
  • The Voice Center provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for individuals with voice, speech, and swallowing problems, utilizing advanced acoustic and endoscopic procedures. A unique component of the Voice Center is the Stuttering Program, which employs laboratory- derived principles of learning in the development of new speech skills.
