About Our Organization

The Tidewater Center for Life Support Training (TCLS) is a program of EVMS. We offer American Heart Association basic, advanced and pediatric life support courses.

Our business office is  located in Smith Rogers Hall 358 Mowbray Arch Norfolk VA  23507. All basic courses (CPR) are conducted in Smith Rogers Hall. All of our advanced courses (ACLS, PALS, ATLS) are conducted in Lester Hall 651 Colley Avenue Norfolk VA  23507.

In addition to our regularly scheduled CPR for the community/lay rescuer/general public,  and healthcare provider courses we are available to conduct workplace training to meet your training needs and schedule. Please call for off site pricing.

We also offer Family and Friends CPR training, disease prevention and transmission, and a variety of other health and safety courses. These course can be tailored to fit the needs of your staff.

Our registration and refund and cancellation policy:

Registration form and fees for Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Pediatric Life Support courses should be received at least 14 days in advance of course date. Payment must accompany registration to guarantee a place in the course. Refunds are given (less a $25 fee plus the cost of course materials unless the materials are returned to our office unopened) with at least 14 days notice.

Registration for Basic Life Support courses should be received within 48 hours of the course date. Refunds are given (less a $10 fee) with at least 14 days notice.

TCLS reserves the right to cancel any course due to low enrollment. Refunds for canceled course will be given (less the cost of text/materials if not returned unopened) in full.

 

 

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in and education course does not represent course sponsorship by AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion if fees needed for AHA course materials do not represent income to the 
Association.
