Third Year Curriculum
After an interdisciplinary
orientation, third year students begin their core clerkships with a
solid background in clinical experience. The students participate in a
combined core series of didactic experience and are involved in
patient care in a variety of settings reflecting a realistic balance
between inpatient and ambulatory care.
Rotations include twelve weeks of
internal medicine; eight weeks in obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics,
and surgery; and six weeks each of family medicine and psychiatry.
Students must complete an advanced cardiac life support course by the
end of their third year.
