    • Dr. Caracci earned the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (DOT) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016.  She obtained her B.S in Occupational Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY in 1999.  She works as the Therapy Services Educator and Performance Improvement Coordinator at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Inc. (CHKD) in Norfolk, Virginia.  In this position, Dr. Caracci oversees staff members and students in regards to annual mandatory and education requirements.  She participates in hospital committees to ensure departmental compliance in areas such as patient safety, environment of care, and medical record documentation to maintain compliance with The Joint Commission standards.  She conducts annual learning needs assessments and develops and carries out education plans accordingly.  Dr. Caracci also conducts continuing education events and administers American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) CEU events.  She also evaluates and treats a caseload of clients as needed.
