Margaret Magdesian, PhD, is the founder and CEO of ANANDA (Advanced Nano Design Applications) Devices, a 2015 start-up spin-off company from McGill University, based in Montreal, Canada. The company creates microfluidic devices for cell culture. Dr. Magdesian is an academic researcher and entrepreneur, who has over 15 years of experience in biopharmaceutical research. She has developed innovative microfluidic devices that her company is using for standardization, precision and reproducibility of cellular assays in many fields of study including neuroscience, stem cells, cancer, and immunological research.
Dr. Magdesian's talk for the Graduate Student Research Conference is titled, "New platforms for drug development and the need for innovation in life sciences."
