    • Marion Bloomfield, LPC, ATR-BC is an Instructor with the Community Faculty in the Graduate Art Therapy and Counseling Program.  She is a co-chair for one Capstone project and provides clinical supervision for graduate art therapy and counseling students.  Marion is also the supervisor for the Creative Arts Program for the City of Virginia Beach, Human Services Department, SkillQuest Services.  In that capacity she provides art therapy services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.  She has been a speaker at conferences regarding her work in this field.  Additional areas of clinical art therapy experience include working with individuals, families and military personnel dealing with trauma, addictions and anger management issues in various settings.

      Prior to receiving her graduate art therapy degree from EasternVirginiaMedicalSchool, Marion worked in research laboratories at OldDominionUniversity and EasternVirginiaMedicalSchool.  While at OldDominionUniversity, Marion designed and implemented genetics research techniques which culminated in co-authorship of a published scientific article.  She also has had several scientific illustrations published.

      Marion’s personal art work includes mixed media, mosaic, collage, painting and sculpture.
