EVMS CME Telemedicine Program
Many Grand Rounds educational activities at EVMS are televised live to a wide audience of health professionals in outlying areas of eastern Virginia, providing health professionals the opportunity to receive continuing professional education and enhancing the quality of care they provide by receiving the latest evidence based medical information.
Televised grand rounds include Internal Medicine, Family & Community Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Surgery (when available for CME) and Psychiatry. The televised audience also has the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers through videostreaming. Site or individual subscriptions are available. Contact email@example.com for more information.
Established in 1998, the telemedicine program is partly funded by the Eastern Virginia Telemedicine Network (EVTN). Eastern Virginia Telemedicine Network (EVTN) is a health professions' distance learning, teleconsultation, and clinical telemedicine network established by the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and the Eastern Shore Rural Health System, Inc., with major funding support provided by the Virginia Health Care Foundation, and other institutions.
