Didactic Curriculum
The didactic curriculum is continuous throughout residency training. Residents attend didactics one half-day per week. This time is protected; residents are excused from clinical duties in order to attend didactic lectures.
First-Year Didactic Courses
Didactic courses are held on Tuesday afternoons.
- American Subcultures - two months
- Behavioral Medicine - one month
- Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy - four months
- ECT - one month
- Emergency Psychiatry - two months
- Ethics I - four weeks
- Evidence-based Medicine Principles - one month
- Introduction to Psychiatry - two months
- Introduction to Psychodynamics - three months
- Neurology - six months
- Psychiatric Assessment - eight weeks
- Psychiatric Interviewing - four months
- Psychopathology - two months
- Psychopharmacology I - four months
- Research Design - two months
- Supportive Psychotherapy - two months

- Ongoing throughout second, third and fourth years
- Held on Wednesday afternoons
- Continuous Case Conference - first and third Wednesdays
