‌Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is the only freestanding children's hospital in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has 206 beds. It is the regional pediatric referral center for coastal Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Las year, the hospital recorded more than 162,000 outpatient and surgical clinic visits and more than 5,400 inpatient admissions. The faculty are involved in research locally, nationally and internationally.
