Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Overview

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ID) Fellowship Training Program, accredited by the ACGME, is based at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, Virginia. This free-standing children's hospital provides a broad range of primary, secondary and tertiary care services to a variety of patients.

This enriching opportunity exists with goals to: provide pediatric ID fellows with the background knowledge, clinical and research experience necessary to allow them to deliver optimal care to children with infectious diseases; qualify trainees for ID subspecialty board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics; and prepare pediatric ID fellows for a career in academic pediatric medicine.
