Message from Program Director
EVMS has the clinical and scientific/research depth to train Endocrinologists of highest quality. We intend to train physicians who practice endocrinology with compassion and competence of highest degree. We strive to impart skills that will make them competitive in practice and/or academia.
Fellows receive exposure to a broad variety of patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders both in outpatient as well as inpatient setting. We ensure fellows have gained appropriate expertise in thyroid ultrasonography/biopsy, managing insulin pumps/glucose monitoring devices and bone densitometry.
Our combined conferences with pathology and radiology departments add to fellows understanding of clinico-pathologic correlations and role of imaging in diagnosis and management. Regularly held endocrine grand rounds expose trainees to local/national/international speakers known in their expertise in diverse areas of endocrinology and metabolism.
Our fellowship offers a unique blend of experiences that help create fellows ready to handle patients with routine as well as complex disorders. Our core lecture series/didactics/seminars and case conferences meet currently requires curricular needs as well as help trainees prepare for presentation both locally and nationally.
We welcome any inquiries and thank you for your interest in the EVMS Endocrinology & Metabolism Fellowship Program.
