All fellows will participate in the following:

  • Dictation of admission H & P or consultation
  • Daily rounds
  • Progress notes and orders on their patients
  • Supervising residents and students as required
  • Courtesy evaluation of non-teaching service patients if requested by nursing staff or the attending physician. (This would include responding to emergency situations.)

Fellows will also participate in the Endocrinology Core Lecture Series, a weekly core curriculum series designed to provide the basic science and clinical knowledge necessary to practice endocrinology. Other educational activities include bi-weekly journal clubs, weekly case conferences, quarterly pathology conferences, as well as the division's weekly Grand Rounds and fellow seminars.

All fellows will be assigned a continuity clinic one afternoon per week. In addition, dedicated time for thyroid ultrasonography and thyroid nodule biopsy is provided during the second year.

Fellows are required to submit abstracts to national meetings, and submit/publish case reports, original research manuscripts.
