Sandra Fleming, MD
Dr. Fleming graduated from the University of Alaska in Anchorage with a degree in Biology. While working on pre-med courses she enjoyed teaching upper division gross anatomy courses with cadaver dissection, this also allowed her to work with disadvantaged high school students all over the state. She worked on fishing and shrimp boats and explored in the field with microbiologists, sampling various rivers in AK at risk. Dr. Fleming finally ventured to The University of the Caribbean Medical School in St. Maarten, completing her clinicals in Brooklyn, NY. She obtained residency in Internal Medicine at a Level 1 trauma center for a stint then moved to VA, where she was granted an opportunity to return to her first love - Family Medicine! Dr. Fleming enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, traveling, reading, movies, scuba-diving and learning guitar.
