If I am able to rotate at EVMS, who will I be working with?

Medical student rotators are assigned to Emergency Medicine Residents at the PGY-3, or advanced PGY-2 level. You will follow that resident to his/her rotating shifts at each of our three hospitals; Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Sentara Obici Hospital, and Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Residents rotate through all three hospitals during the rotation, so you will get the experience of an academic tertiary care setting, a community setting, and a rural setting.

How do I apply for a medical student rotation at EVMS?

We suggest you contact the EVMS Emergency Medicine office (757) 388-3397 or email Ms. Ricker for availability of open dates.

AllPaperwork for the rotation can be found on our EVMS website:  http://www.evms.edu/education/medical_programs/doctor_of_medicine/visiting_students/
