Howard W. Jones, Jr., MD, founder of the EVMS Jones Institute and pioneer of in vitro fertilization in the U.S., was profiled in The New York Times March 23.
In the story, Dr. Jones laments the rise of commercial competition among fertility clinics and he reflects on the future of reproductive medicine. Dr. Jones and his wife, Georgeanna Jones, MD, were responsible for the nation's first birth as a result of IVF, in 1981. Dr. Georgeanna Jones died in 2005. |
