Former Governor Kaine visits EVMS

Former Governor Tim Kaine, right, admires the EVMS Education and Research Building prior to a tour led by President Harry T. Lester. Then-Gov. Kaine included EVMS in an education bond referendum that provided the school with $59 million for construction of the building and renovations to Lewis Hall and Brickell Library. It was Gov. Kaine's first visit to the new building, which opened in the fall of 2011. During his tour, Gov. Kaine met with representatives from the EVMS Center for Simulation and Immersive Learning and the Leroy T. Canoles Jr. Cancer Research Center.
