MPH program hosting National Public Health Week Print E-mail

The EVMS School of Health Professions Master's of Public Health program is hosting a week of events April 5-9 to mark National Public Health Week. An initiative of the American Public Health Association, the event this year focuses on the theme "A Healthier America: One Community at a Time" and seeks to create a healthier nation by starting at the local level.

Events at EVMS include:
Monday 4/5:

  • Public Health Awareness: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. , Brickell Atrium
  • Guest Speaker Dr. Nancy Welch: 12-12:30 p.m., Basic Sciences Room
  • Cultural Diversity Class Social: 4:30-6 p.m., Lewis Hall 1109

Tuesday 4/6:

  • Guest Speaker Dr. Paul Aravich: 12-1 p.m., McCombs Auditorium

Wednesday 4/7:

  • Disaster Preparedness Workshop with Dr. Love and Jolynn Turner: 5-6 p.m., Roper Auditorium

Thursday 4/8:

  • Haiti Seminar Series: 4:30-6 p.m., Roper Auditorium

Friday 4/9:

  • P.O.E.T.S: 4 p.m., Norfolk Waterside Marriott
