Among the speakers for the event, which runs from 1-6 p.m. in the Brickhouse Auditorium in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, is Jai Pausch, widow of Randy Pausch, PhD, who delivered the now-famous "Last Lecture" in 2007. Three renowned pancreatic-cancer specialists also will speak, including Gloria Petersen, PhD, from the Mayo Clinic; Anirban Maitra, MD, from Johns Hopkins University; and Carrie Rinker-Schaeffer, PhD, from the University of Chicago.
