Continuing Medical Education 

The EVMS Office of Continuing Medical Education improves the health status of the community by offering the most updated educational programming for physicians.

EVMS was awarded ACCREDITATION WITH COMMENDATION by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). This is the highest level of accreditation offered and assures physicians and the public that CME activities provided by EVMS meet the highest standards.

CME Activities offered by EVMS include:

• Regularly Scheduled Series (grand rounds/case presentations)
• Conferences/Courses
• Enduring Materials (archived)
• Televised grand rounds (either site or individual subscriptions offered)

The scope of services includes needs assessment, program development and management, evaluation of activities, promotion, logistics, and audiovisual support. All programming meets the criteria for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit^TM and complies with the AMA Ethical Opinion on Gifts to Physicians and the ACCME Essential Areas and Elements and policies.
