Salvation Army Club

Inspired by the documentary "Give Me a Shot of Anything," the newly renamed Salvation Army Club (previously the Health Outreach Community) works with the homeless population of Norfolk. They aim to build relationships between future health care providers and people in need in the local community. In partnership with the Salvation Army, the club works to provide food and health resources to the homeless individuals they encounter. Utilizing the Salvation Army's mobile canteen, the club is able to take food provisions directly into the community. The club also aims to promote health literacy and health resource awareness among the homeless population of Norfolk via discussions between club volunteers and the homeless individuals they encounter.
