Live Responsibly Campaign

Live Responsibly Campaign

The Live Responsible Campaign was started as a project to educate school children from 5th grade to HS of the health effects and financial impact of social choices people make that affect health care in the country. It uses specially produced plastinated organs of humans (healthy and diseased). These kits of organ models are taken to schools for a presentation and interaction that attempts to get a social contract with kids to understand the costs of the daily lifestyle choices people make. It concentrates on five key choices and their effects on the health care system: Smoking, Obesity, Driving Distractions, Helmets and Alcohol. All of these are described in terms of their health effect and costs to society. It serves as a launching platform for updating them as to the state of medical care in the US.
