HOPES Clinic

The HOPES (Health Outreach Partnership of EVMS Students) Free Clinic is staffed by EVMS students, residents, and physicians. The purpose of HOPES is to serve uninsured citizens of Norfolk with long term and specialty care. The Health Outreach Partnership of EVMS Students is a student-run organization that works to staff and run a free clinic with attending physician supervision. Being student-run means that it relies entirely on students to help us staff and run the clinic--both in and out of clinical hours. The clinic provides a number of specialty clinics and services, including the Women's Health Clinic, Endocrine Clinic, Life Counseling, Dermatology, Access AIDS, and Art Therapy. The Women's Health Clinic services include prenatal care, pap smears, and STD testing. The clinic is open over spring break and summer break but closes for major holidays. See their website for more details.
