Anatomy Guy

Anatomy Guy is an EVMS supported project that provides educational videos, images and quizzes to educate users about a wide range of medical and medically associated topics and questions.

Asthma Interventions in Public and Assisted Multi-Family Housing

The Asthma Interventions in Public and Assisted Multi-Family Housing program enrolls caregivers of asthmatic children in Norfolk's low income public housing, collects data on the child's health and surveys the home for possible environmental risk factors and takes ameliorative action to improve the child's health.

Beyond Clinic Walls

Beyond Clinic Walls is a student-run, geriatric-centered service through which student volunteers aim to develop meaningful relationships with their clients and help them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Breastfeeding Welcome Here

The Breastfeeding Welcome Here Project is focused on increasing awareness and public acceptance of nursing as normal by engaging area businesses, museums, and public venues to pledge support and put up signage welcoming breastfeeding in their establishment.

Coalition for Hearing, Education and Research (CHEAR)

CHEAR's mission is to foster and provide support for the necessary resources to the Hampton Roads community, its region, our nation and beyond, so that all citizens can obtain the highest quality and comprehensive services for disorders of the ear, hearing and balance.

Community Care Day

Every April EVMS students and faculty put together a Community Care Day event in order to reach out to the local community through health screenings, health education, entertainment and activities.

Community Impact Day

In keeping with EVMS' community mission, incoming students participate in Community Impact Day, a meaningful outreach with P. B. Young Elementary in Norfolk. This community service project contributes to the experiential learning of our students while improving the health and wellness of Hampton Roads.

Consortium for Infant and Child Health (CINCH)

CINCH is committed to using research and data to drive initiatives which include education and training, advocacy and working with our partners to improve their programs and services that affect the health of children and their families in our community.

Eastern Shore Healthy Communities (ESHC)

Eastern Shore Healthy Communities works to create a healthier Eastern Shore by fostering community partners and partner organizations relationships. ESHC take a policy, systems and environmental change approach to community health because it has a broader impact and is more sustainable than programmatic approaches.

Eastern Virginia Area Health Education Center (EVAHEC)

The mission of the EVAHEC program is to promote health careers and access to primary care for medically underserved populations through community-academic partnerships.
