Trauma: Run for Your Life 2 2nd Annual 5k Run/Walk & Children's Fun Run and Community Education Exposition Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 9am
It's an often-overlooked fact that traumatic injury is the leading cause of death in people ages 1 to 45. To raise awareness of such serious - and often preventable - injuries, Eastern Virginia Medical School is hosting the 2nd annual EVMS Trauma: Run for Your Life 5K Race and Community Education Exposition at the downtown Norfolk medical campus Saturday, May 22. Beyond a fun run, the event features a community education exposition including car-seat checks, tours of ambulances, the Sentara medical evacuation helicopter and fire trucks and various exhibits that will point out hidden household dangers.
Runners, baby joggers and walkers are welcome in the race.
Sign up for the race.
