How You Can Help

To improve detection and survival rates and help find a cure:

Do monthly breast self-exams
Get annual screening mammography
Donate time or money to breast cancer research
Donate blood and/or breast tissue for research. Every day, hundreds of women undergo diagnostic breast biopsies. After the pathologist makes the diagnosis, the sample is stored indefinitely. Researchers could be using that tissue to research a cure, BUT they need your consent. Use this flyer (; click here for information about PDF) to help publicize EVMS' research efforts.

To arrange to donate to the EVMS Tissue Bank,
call 446-7910.
