EVMS Board of
Visitors
The
Board of Visitors is the governing body of Eastern Virginia Medical
School. Eleven of the 17 members of the Board of Visitors are
appointed by the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk,
Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. The remaining six members are
appointed by the EVMS Foundation Board of Trustees.
Until further notice, Board and
committee/subcommittee meetings will be held at various locations
around campus. If a meeting location is not listed below, please
call the Office of the President, (757) 446-5200.
Schedule
The EVMS Board of Visitors
meets at 4 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the following months:

The Academic Affairs Committee meets at 4 p.m.
on the fourth Tuesday of the following months:

Additional meeting dates will be announced.
The Audit and Compliance Committee meets
when necessary in September/October, January, April and July.

The Finance Committee

The Honorary Degree Committee

The Joint Conference Committee
meets at twice annually in May/June and November/December.

The Trusteeship Committee
meets at the discretion of the committee chair. The next meeting is
at 3:30 p.m., May 6, 2008, in Hofheimer Hall, Room 758.
