Checking Your EVMS Mail from Off-Campus
EVMS Web Mail
EVMS Web Mail is a method of accessing
your email through a Web browser. It doesn't require setting up a mail
program and allows on-the-fly access from any computer attached to the
Internet.
To access your email, open any
Java-enabled browser such as Mozilla
Firefox or
Netscape (the Network Center does not recommend using Internet
Explorer). In the Web address window, enter one of the addresses below,
depending on your status:
You should be presented with one of two
possible logon dialog boxes. If the logon dialog box prompts for
username and password only, the user name format is <domain name>\<user
name> (without the angle brackets).
If you are presented with a three-entry
logon dialog box, enter your user name, domain name and password in the
respective boxes.
The domain name will be EVMS for
faculty and staff, and Student for students, regardless of the dialog
box received.
Outlook Web Access will load in your
browser window, allowing you to read and send email with your campus
account. Outlook Web Access also allows you to see your calendar and
contact lists and search for names in the Global Address List.
