Senior Vice President & Chief of Staff

As Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff, Claudia Keenan is a senior executive and key advisor to the President and the Provost/Dean, responsible for business and strategic planning, fundraising, marketing and communications, brand development, alumni relations and other special projects as warranted. 

Ms. Keenan oversees the Office of External Affairs, helping to attract new students and residents, faculty and staff, and funding to EVMS. The overall goal of the Office of External Affairs is to enhance the school's reputation while building and protecting the EVMS brand. 

Under the leadership of Ms. Keenan, the Office of External Affairs oversees the Office of Development, Office of Marketing and Communications, and Office of Alumni Relations.

  • Development: Fundraising, grateful patient program, annual fund, major giving, scholarships, donor relations and institutional event planning
