Emergency Planning

Eastern Virginia Medical School has developed a campus wide Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) that includes an emergency operations framework for our campus as well as a hazard vulnerability assessment. Also, a continuity plan was created to ensure that mission-essential functions and key operations are restored as quickly as possible during and following emergencies and disasters.

While there are campus wide emergency plans and protocols, each EVMS department is responsible for developing plans specific to their respective needs and issues. A departmental emergency response plan identifies the specific approaches to an emergency needed for that group and compliments the overall EVMS Emergency Operations Plan.
