EVMS 20 Twenty Capital Campaign Impact Report

We're proud to announce that the EVMS 20 Twenty Capital Campaign was an overwhelming success. The campaign was projected to raise between $10 million and $20 million, but thanks to a generous community that stepped up to support our vision, an incredible $32.4 million was raised. Here's how this thoughtful philanthropy has impacted EVMS:

  • Harry T. Lester Hall built and opened, enabling EVMS to increase its student population and to help meet the needs of the aging population
  • Leroy T. Canoles Jr. Cancer Research Center opened
  • M. Foscue Brock Institute for Community and Global Health established
  • The Murray T. Waitzer Endowed Chair for Diabetes Research created
  • The Dorothy M. Middleton Scholarship created -- the first in-state, four-year MD scholarship
  • More than $3.8 million raised for scholarships
  • More than $14 million raised to support endowments
  • More than $3.8 million raised to support the EVMS Fund
  • More than $1.5 million raised to support diabetes research and treatment
